Which actor from dad's army is your favourite?

As far as actors go, if I can pick two, I'd say Lowe and Laurie. They're all pretty good of course.

Wow, yes. This is a really difficult one. There are so many superb actors to choose from. How many are we allowed to pick? For me it's a really tough choice between Arthur Lowe, John Le Mesurier, Clive Dunn and Frank Williams.

Yes it's very hard to pick a favorite. Dads Army had such an incredibly talented cast. If forced to pick one it would have to be John Le Mesurier. but it could just as easily be Arthur Lowe....no wait... Clive Dunn..Oh hang on I forgot about John Laurie. Sorry I can't pick just one.

Janet Davies and Arthur Lowe for me.
The women were all wonderful. Alongside the leading actors they created strong fun characters: Mrs Fox, Shirley and Mavis. It wasn’t an easy job but they succeeded.

Lowe and Le Mesurier for me. Lowe for his depth of characterisation, Le Mesurier for his unique style of delivery. Very different actors but they gel together superbly.
As others have said, it's difficult to make a decision as the regular cast are all exceptional.
