My name is Austin and I live in Leicester,(about 150 miles north of Walmington-on-Sea ) England, UK,
Am a huge DA fan, have all the DVDs: like nothing better than to settle down late at night when 'Elizabeth' has gone to bed and have a good chuckle watching a few episodes with a pint of cider or Carlsberg Export and my 2 cats; member of DAAS; wrote for the DA DVD/mag partwork; dragged the Elizabeth (my fiancee) round Thetford 2 weeks ago ("she did not like it"!); pleased to have met Jimmy and David. My father was a BBC set designer in the 1960's-80's, working on programmes from Colditz and Secret Army to Steptoe and Son and It Ain't Half Hot Mum.
Am also very interested in the Home Guard, have a large collection of HG militaria, re-enact with a static display at 1940's events, and have written two books about the HG:
