Um, no he definitely won't have, he was forced to give up drinking in 1977 when he had his near death experience with liver disease. In this 1978 interview he has recovered a bit from that, not nearly so gaunt and ill looking, but he seems a bit frail still. He went back to drinking occasionally much later.
I came across this youtube site of Hattie Jacques. It has interviews with john and her son Robin with Clive DUNN and lovely old clips of them together, their wedding pic and others...lovely I laughed at her sister in law's mimicking John LeMesurier. So like him in DA too

Going through some old material from a few years back I found these tonight from John's 1960 film Invasion Quartetin which he starred as a Home Guard Captain alongside Spike Milligan and Bill Travers...

Those that have stood out for me have been Anton Lesser and Robert Bathurst, although Alistair McGowan is the best on an impersonation. I also saw Alistair do his impersonation live a few weeks back in Cardiff - fantastic!
